John Hattaway

Anyone who is unreliable is also a liar; anyone who is a liar is also unreliable.

sw-c

For those who have questions about why sw-c.com is redirecting to johnhattaway.com I have created this page as a sort of explanation.

Specifically, I have been considering what to do with both sw-c.com and johnhattaway.com and after quite a lot of thought, the outcome was that I reconsidered original intent for sw-c.com and realized that it was registered so I could have a writing-consulting business. At the time I’d invested in some online advertising but had neither the time nor the resources necessary to maintain paying for advertising as I’d moved from Utah to New Hampshire. Instead, I decided that I could use sw-c.com as a mean of communicating with my parents and family and friends back in Utah and other places; especially since I was uncertain of how long I’d be able to maintain my cell phone.

It turned out that I was able to continue with the cell phone, pay rent, buy food and such and that sw-c.com was merely an extension of the forms of communication I’d already established.

You see, sw-c.com stands for StandingWater Creations. StandingWater has origins in another project that I occasionally work on, and following the trends of other fictional creators, I decided that I wanted to brand my consulting-writing company with a name that meant something to me.

Since one of my goals is professional fiction writing and as I understand that established websites are important as well, the outcome is that I want my website branded with my name and, possibly at some point in the future, may decide to move sw-c.com into its original intent or merely use it as a redirector to johnhattaway.com.

The outcome to all of this is literally that I am simply interested in making sure that my name and my website are synonymous and that people who (hopefully) want to know more about me based on my fiction will have a more intuitive and easier time in finding me.
