Well, because of some comments that were left by a computer somewhere, programmed to find blogs and leave stupid advertisements, I’ve shut off the comments section of my website and reviewed some of what I’ve written. I guess I’m having a time believing that I’ve been in New Hampshire, in the North East, this long. Since July. And I’ve been working at Borders since September 20th. Amazing what happens when you pay attention to dates and stuff.
Anyway, still working at Borders. Was kind of hoping that something would come up where I could quit that place in January and now it doesn’t look as though that’s going to happen. In truth, I may be working there until my next planned move. That is for next fall. Right now, I am planning on taking the SAT II: Writing test on January 22nd at Concord High School (I guess those tests are really designed for high school students who think they are ready for college), I start at Southern New Hampshire University‘s day program on January 18th, the 17th is orientation and they sent me a letter with itinerary for the day – oh I am so excited, and work becomes and after school, three times a week and Saturdays, thing for me. This should be fun.
Tuesday, I normally had Tuesday’s off, I went to the Temple. Needed some clarity. And when I got home I pretty much went to bed.
Tomorrow is my holiday day for the New Year (Happy 2005) and I turn 31 in one week. No. Don’t say anything about it. I guess, as is true of most birthdays, I will be spending that day alone as Andy and Debbie and girls are going to Florida for a week. I drop them at the airport in the morning and, if I can score some free lift tickets, get to go skiing that afternoon near the White Mountains. Debbie thinks I should try to get some local interest stuff published in regional magazines on some of my outdoors experiences in this area. Not a bad idea, just the wrong season to start with the outdoors stuff. Cold. Cold. Cold. and Cold.
I promised a co-workers son that we would sit down and write a story tomorrow, SO, even though it’s technically a day off, I still get to go and hang at work. And Debbie asked me to watch the girls tomorrow morning so that she and Andy can go and do what I did Tuesday. Life is wonderful.
For classes, since this is really train of thought, I have Finite Math (I think), Playwriting, Fundamentals of Writing II, Intro to the Humanities II, and U.S. History II (Civil War to Modern Day). Really seems like I’ve covered much of this at other schools. Here’s to a wonderful semester.

Sometimes in life we just have to accept the inevitable. That can be anything from the weather, which is cold and my knees hurt, to working at a job that doesn’t satisfy you because you need to go to school, get at least one degree, before moving on to bigger and better things. There are still other inevitables in the world. Death, hunger, the Salvation Army ringing bells at Christmas time outside of most major stores just to annoy me… these things are not going to change – and most cannot change, because that’s the way we are.
